Rise Up, Stand Up; Speak Up, Speak Out

She came back from their ministry in a foreign land. Back to her roots, extended family, familiarity, after giving their lives to ministering in another country. She came back to rest, recuperate and probably for the first time in her life, to BE ministered to.

They requested prayer. And we responded. Lifting her up, wrapping her in verse; holding her in our thoughts. While others start off their lives building their career in an organization, she and her husband went into ministry. While others thought about buying a home to accommodate their growing family, they poured their resources into the ministry and stayed in their small home as their family grew. While other women thought about visiting the hairdresser, nail salon or department store to refurbish their wardrobe, she thought about new ways to present the Kingdom of God to the children and parents across the border.

She and her husband poured themselves into opening the eyes of understanding to those in countries where the poor were neglected and people were in danger of military actions. They used their time, talents, resources to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 7) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

(2 Timothy 4: 2; 7)

We praise the LORD here, while we have breath. As it says in Ecclesiastes 9:10, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.”

Someone once told me, “The internet is a miracle. One can sit in the comfort of home and share the Good News of the Kingdom of God with people around the world.” Many of us cannot spend our resources on traveling to foreign countries to do ministry, but we can share via the internet. This is the time to speak, to believe, to share, to give, to stand in faith. The world is preoccupied, but we can shine a light into the darkness.

This dear woman has finished her race. Come Lord Messiah Jesus, come quickly. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”

(Revelation 22:20, ESV)

Psalm 115:16-18 The heavens are the LORD’s heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man. The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any who go down into silence. But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD!
